ArtAntep” is the first women's cooperative brand of Gaziantep. The foundations of the brand were laid in 2006 with the desire of home-based Antep embroidery women to form a cooperative and deliver their products to consumers without intermediaries, to make their labor more valuable, to carry this handicraft into the future without being forgotten, and to use the advantages of working together.
During this time, we not only produced but also developed and developed. We gave a new direction to this journey in 2012 by obtaining a geographical indication for Antep embroidery. We decided to take this folk culture, which has been around for hundreds of years, usually used as home textile products in girls' dowries, one step further with the motto "Re-Tradition" by bringing it to clothing and accessories in 2020.
In addition, the products designed by different artists and designers who are devoted to handicrafts make the brand stronger by incorporating other handicrafts such as mother-of-pearl inlay, coppersmithing, mosaic making, weaving and marbling, stained glass, needle lace, wire breaking, which are the traditional handicrafts of Gaziantep, in addition to Antep work. It works to grow with data. Today, the ArtAntep team is happy to have broken new ground with its new product range, from clothing to accessories, by expanding the materials and usage areas used by traditional handicraft masters.
