Gönen Women's Initiative is a cooperative that aims to introduce local handicrafts to the world, inspired by the Gönen district of Balıkesir. This initiative brings together women's handcrafted products and helps them to both make economic gains and keep their traditional handicrafts alive.

Gönen needle lace is completely handmade and each one is decorated with finely crafted needle lace. The materials used in these products are high quality and durable, and silk and viscose yarns are preferred. Mercerized cotton rink yarns are used in crochet work to ensure that the products are long-lasting and stylish.

Cotton and/or silk fabrics, which are used as complementary materials in some products, do not weigh, sweat, take shape easily and are suitable for use in all seasons thanks to their lightness and special texture. It is an exclusive product created by the hands of needlepoint masters who combine the traditional and modern motifs of needlepoint, the traditional handicraft of Gönen.

Product Details and Delivery

Material: Silk and viscose threads were used in needle lace and mercerized cotton rink yarns were used in crochet work. In some products, cotton and/or silk fabrics were preferred as complementary materials. Thanks to their lightness and special texture, these fabrics do not weigh, do not sweat, are easy to shape and are suitable for use in all seasons.
Handmade: All products are completely handmade and prepared with great care.
Production and Stock: Only one of each of our needle lace products is produced, in case of demand, production is made only instead of the sold one, and we do not work with stock. Therefore, there are some nuances even between two products sold with the same image. Therefore, each product is unique and unique in the world.
Packaging and Delivery: The products are sent in a special Gönen Women's Initiative package and delivered within 3-5 days. The product you have chosen is sent with a quality certificate.

Dry cleaning is the most ideal cleaning method. If you do not have the time or budget for this process, soaking the product in soapy water can also be a solution.
Washing Instructions: As with other delicate products, using very hot water during washing may spoil the color and fabric of the product. Therefore, warm water should be preferred.
