Product Description and Distinguishing Features:
Gaziantep Steamed Meatballs / Antep Steamed Meatballs is a local dish prepared by mixing coarse bulgur, full-fat ground mutton, onion, garlic, tomato paste and spices; kneading, and making walnut-sized meatballs and steaming these meatballs on a strainer called “süzek” within the region.

Production Method:
Ingredients
250-500 g full-fat ground mutton
350-500 g coarse bulgur
1 large onion (100 g)
1 clove garlic (5-10 g)
30-50 g tomato paste
30-50 g paprika paste
10-15 g red pepper powder
10-20 g salt
5-10 g black pepper
Recipe
Bulgur, ground meat, finely chopped onion and garlic, tomato paste, red pepper powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper are placed in a bowl and kneaded without adding water. Walnut-sized meatballs are made from that mixture and they are given a flat shape. A strainer is placed over the water being boiled over the fire and the meatballs are placed on this strainer. Meatballs are made ready for service by steaming for 35-40 minutes without touching the water.
