Gonen Women's Initiative

It is the brand name of Gonen Women's Initiative Production and Business Cooperative. Our cooperative was established in the Gönen district of Balıkesir with 25 founding partners in 2017 and started its activities on the same date.

GÖNENKADIN operates in two commercial areas. The first of these is to modernize our handicrafts, especially traditional needlework, to design jewelry and accessories that will put them into the daily use of urban women, and the other is to produce safe, natural and organic foodstuffs by using the opportunities offered by the fertile Gönen Plain.

All of our products are produced by our needlewomen from Gönen. Objects belonging to handicrafts other than lace are also produced either by needlework masters who have moved to that area or by our fellow citizens who have been interested in that area as a hobby until now.

Production is carried out according to the standards determined by GÖNENKADIN in terms of the physical properties of the products, the materials used, and the aesthetics of the product.
